Global logistics firm Suttons Transport Group has invested a £6m funding package in new trailers and tanks and in digital innovation.

Having a continuous supply of feedstock is vital to many of our customers’ operational needs. Suttons International Limited has now completed the asset purchase of the overseas ISO tank containers, personnel, and customer contracts of VTG Tanktainer GmbH, a subsidiary of VTG Aktiengesellschaft (VTG).

Logistics services are widely affected by seasonal volumes which sees the demand for different products surge at different times of the year. One of the most obvious and relatable examples of this that personally impacts the public would be the demand for food and drink over the festive period. To cope with the peaks and troughs in supply and demand, and to ensure you get your turkey and mince pies on time, means that a flexible supply chain model is fundamental.

Suttons International Limited and VTG Tanktainer GmbH, a subsidiary of VTG Aktiengesellschaft (VTG), announce today that they have signed an Asset Purchase Agreement outlining the acquisition by Suttons of VTG’ overseas ISO tank containers, personnel, and customer contracts, including VTG interests in a joint venture with Mission Line in Brazil.

The first manufactured double decker hydrogen bus tour of the UK stopped off today (Thursday 21 October) at logistics sector market leader Suttons Tankers in Gretna to refuel on its way to COP26.
