This recognition follows the depot’s Bronze award earlier in 2018.
FORS is a voluntary scheme for fleet operators which helps to raise the level of quality within fleet operations and to demonstrate which operators are achieving this standard.
The programme encourages operators to take a closer look at their operations and identify areas of strength to be exploited and areas for improvement to be addressed.
Michael Cundy, Managing Director of Suttons Tankers, said:
“Well done to the team in Eastham who, through their hard work, have become the first Suttons depot to achieve this prestigious accreditation.
“A successful Silver audit provides us with reassurance that our operation is being run safely, efficiently and in an environmentally sound manner.
“In order to gain this distinction our staff had to ensure the depot’s scheduling and resource was optimised, paying particular attention to vehicle safety equipment and reducing noise pollution.
“Fantastic teamwork was displayed throughout and I’d particularly like to thank the Eastham drivers, whose hard work and commitment ultimately ensured this accreditation was achieved.”
