Suttons Group is proud to support a number of schemes to help ensure the happiness and wellbeing of all of our employees and members of the logistics industry in general. From health schemes to extra training, we look after our people. 

Looking after the Suttons team

Employees at Suttons Group enjoy a number of benefits and schemes which contribute towards the family-feel within the company. 

Wellbeing Schemes

We provide employees with regular medical check-ups such as blood pressure and lung age tests, as well as access to healthy snacks and wellbeing initiatives. We also partake in the ‘Stoptober’ campaign each year to try and reduce smoking within the business. 

SSHEQ Winter Ready Procedures

Each year we put measures in place to help our employees during the winter months, with a focus on ensuring that they are able to travel safely and not put themselves at unnecessary risk while driving in challenging weather. 

Truckers Who Run

We support a number of external community projects, including the Truckers Who Run Facebook page, which aims at keeping those behind the wheel active and healthy. We believe it’s important to help and encourage our drivers to stay active! 

Training 

We ensure that our people all have the relevant training to help them complete their jobs with minimal stress or risk of danger. For example, we provide security training for drivers to promote personal safety, particularly when working abroad. 

Ergonomic Office Space 

Our office space has been designed to provide an ergonomic workspace for our staff, which includes specialised chairs and optional standing desk areas to prevent back strain.   

Flexible and Understanding 

We understand that employees have personal lives that can affect their ability to work, which is why we always strive to be flexible and understanding should any staff need time for personal or family reasons.

Social Activities 

All work and no play, so they say! We try to incorporate opportunities for staff to socialise outside of the working environment. This includes events like bowling nights. Not to mention, a visit from the ice cream van if things get too warm during Summer!

Working from Home

Suttons Group has technology and systems in place to allow all office-based staff to work remotely, ensuring those most vulnerable in our business are protected, and to ensure our staff have the flexibility to work in a way that best suits them. 

Suttons Employee Assistance Scheme 

The Suttons EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) is a service we offer to UK employees that provides counselling support for any personal, work or family issues. The phone lines are open 24/7 for a free and confidential service ran by independent and highly trained counsellors/experts.
