Suttons Group announced today that it has acquired Imperial Tankers, one of the largest bulk chemical transport companies in the UK from Hargreaves Services PLC. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

International chemical logistics and supply chain specialist Suttons Group has acquired IS Logistics Group (ISLG) in Singapore.

Suttons has attended the Annual Carmen Cart Marking Ceremony in the City of London. We were represented by Suttons Chairman Michael Sutton and John Sutton CEO, who are both Carmen. Cart marking is an ancient ceremony, 100s of years old with a Carman fellowship in London being traced back to 1277.

Suttons Group and British Sugar have been awarded the Partnership Award at the prestigious Motor Transport Awards. The judges commented: “It’s a clear outstanding, winning entry – with a professional submission, covering every aspect of the criteria stipulated with evidence presented in a clear manner, the entry shows how the two companies have developed into a partnership that has transformed both businesses.”

To celebrate this milestone, the company has decorated four brand new DAF tractor units with the anniversary logo and Union Flag in recognition of their former livery.

Suttons Group has formed a strategic partnership with Mexican freight forwarding company ROVESA.

Suttons Transport Group has been awarded an integrated logistics services contract from Bayer MATERIALSCIENCE (China), to provide a wide range of traditional and value added bulk chemical logistics and supply chain services.

Suttons Group has appointed a new Regional Director for its European business.

Suttons Group reported a 4.1% increase in revenue to £154.7m for the year ending April 30th 2013.
