Recent turbulent events have had a large impact on the supply chain. Covid, extreme climate events, and Brexit, among many others, have resulted in distinct issues which Suttons International, and other logistics companies, have had to adapt to overcome.

The China subsidiary of Suttons International, the UK’s largest chemical logistics company specialising in moving chemicals, faced a severe challenge when Shanghai went through a two-month lockdown. For the China subsidiary both their international business, dependent on supply chains from overseas, and their domestic business had a sudden and potentially catastrophic shock.

If the last couple of years have taught us anything, it’s that being agile and resilient are fundamental to achieving success in such turbulent market conditions.
