​​The Role

Working closely with Sales and the Operations Supervisor and HQ Teams to deliver the customer service and operational aspect of the business.

Manage the efficient and cost-effective execution of services we have sold to customers, including the handling and logistics of their products locally, regionally and globally in our spot fleet assets, our dedicated contract assets or Customers owned fleet assets (as applicable).

Managing the interface with customers, suppliers, agents to deliver safe and compliant operation, value for money customer service and control of cost.

Required Experience

Customer Liaison and Coordination – Ensure liaison, negotiation and coordination with Customers and Consignees to satisfy their service & reporting requirements.

  • Customer Complaints – Instigate investigations with any customer complaints, liaising with Supervisors / quality controller. Ensure that root cause analysis is carried out and feeding back to the customer with results of investigation and the relevant corrective actions.
  • Support Sales – Manage all day-to-day activities of the customers under your control, and highlight any drop in order levels / and seek out new opportunities with those customers​
  • 1st Load – Rigorously ensure the 1st Load procedures executed to set the Job up to succeed.​
  • Orders – Ensure ongoing Customer Orders are acknowledged and Entered on the system to set the Job in play. Work closely together with the operations coordinators.​
  • Documentation – Ensure Jobs are Operated with appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with cross border legislation, hazardous goods legislation and international trade.​
  • Tank Journey Mgt – Liaison, negotiation and coordination of all suppliers throughout the supply chain and container journey to deliver efficient and cost-effective shipments.​
  • Inter-Regional Handover – Effective, robust and consistent “passing of the baton” from the Origin Office Export to Destination Office Import to ensure smooth and efficient end to end service, managed costs and compliance.​
  • Cost management control – Ensure all costs are allocated / reserved on a timely basis to Jobs, and where possible recharged to customers, or updated in Quotes.​
  • Supplier Invoices / Costs – Ensure any unmatched invoices are processed and matched to Jobs on a weekly basis. Proactively add missing costs in job/file.​
  • Revenue Mgt – Ensure all revenue is billed out to customers in a timely manner with an Customer Approval Codes to ensure recovery of all Job, Additional and Supplementary Revenue.​
  • Tank Planning and Asset Management – Liaise with the Planning Team to optimise the availability and allocation of the specified Tank Assets for Jobs​
  • Job Profitability – Ensuring all costs and legs are either including in the Job are recharged to customers with a margin, challenged with the supplier with procurements assistance if required​
  • Continuous improvement – look for efficiencies to make the job easier, avoid re-work, look for root cause and eliminate reoccurring mistakes
