Sutton’s objective is to provide a safe, high quality and efficient packing and logistics service solution to our customers.
Specialising in the drumming of hazardous and non-hazardous liquid products, in packages ranging from 25 litres through to 210 litre drums and 1000 litre Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), Sutton's will provide packaging solutions in accordance with the customer’s requirements. This could include the installation and management of suitable equipment at the point of manufacture through to the provision of packing, warehousing and distribution facilities as close to the customer’s markets as practicable.
Filling equipment can be highly automated dedicated installations or portable versatile filling platforms
The focus on all operations will be on safety and quality, using the best available technology to ensure products are handled safely.
Product quality is maintained through the use of dedicated handling equipment which ensures no product degradation or contamination. The product quality can be enhanced through the introduction of filtration to the discharge process, adding stabilisers to the filling sequence or injecting drums with inert gases to improve safety or prolong
‘shelf-life’.
Various transfer methods can be employed to ensure products are transferred safely. These methods range from pumped transfers using dedicated fixed or flexible pipework, different pump types depending on product classification and compatibility, viscosity, temperature and sensitivity to shear, through to pressure discharge under Nitrogen atmosphere.
Operator and environmental safety is ensured by adoption of appropriate safety features to minimise risk of exposure. This can include dedicated extraction systems to remove hazardous vapours from the filling operation and incorporate scrubbing equipment to remove any hazardous products from the system to prevent its release into the environment.
Sutton's can also provide despatch services, including the provision of pallets, labels, load securing straps and ancillaries. All necessary documentation can be produced for the products handled and their final destinations.
UN approved packages can be sourced in accordance with customer requirements and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation for products handled and markets served.
Quality assurance can be validated using on-site analytical equipment and the corresponding Certificate of Analysis can be produced.
