Suttons offers a total supply chain solution for one of the UK’s largest producers of CO2. A core fleet of Suttons drivers and units based at four locations around the UK are scheduled by a Suttons team based at the customers order taking facility. The Suttons scheduling team also control the telemetry that is used to determine whether a customer has sufficient ullage to accept a delivery. By having access to customer’s inventory levels Suttons is able to optimise the transport solution though balancing peaks and troughs in demand. However when demand increases or supply outages create a significantly increased requirement for transport, Suttons shared user tanker fleet is used to successfully supplement the core fleet. Suttons also provides Isotanks for this customer delivering CO2 throughout Europe. The success of this solution has recently been evidenced by a three year contract extension.
